What You Believe Determines Your Progress
We have all heard the quote by Henry Ford:
“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right!”
How does this work? We can all think something but ultimately our actions determine the result right? There are four areas to consider here and one of them is key to success.
- Potential
- Action
- Results
- Belief
We are all born with a certain level of potential based on our environment. From here a person takes action (of any kind, eg. eating, physical activity, education etc.) which is followed by results. These results create a reinforcing belief about ones self. A person with a negative belief of themselves and their potential (thinking they have very little or no potential) will take either no action and or a slight attempt at action which results in poor results leading to a reinforcing belief that they have no potential to get to where they want to be. On the other hand a person who believes they have great potential will take great action leading to great results and further their belief that they can achieve more.
This is where the key to starting with any goal is, your belief. As long as you believe you have the potential to be better you will have a greater course of action which flows on in an upward spiral.
Believe you can be better and seek out opportunities that provide you with greater potential to succeed.

Enthusiasm is contagious too. That’s why we must all be great role models for one another. Sometimes it is hard to see the potential in ourselves until someone backs us.
Surrounding yourself with positive people is like an investment in your wellbeing. What a great environment you provide for us at Ariston, Luke- It’s such a healthy positive experience for everyone, both mentally and physically!
