My biggest challenge before joining Ariston was being bored with normal gym and staying consistent with exercise. I need to keep busy and be challenged to keep me interested. I felt like my training was stagnant.

Since joining Ariston I am challenged every day physically and mentally with every WOD. I think I am the fittest I have been in my life. I am never bored. There is always something to work on to get better at.

I could not do one push up or pull up when I started. I can now do ten pushups on my toes without a break. I have just started to get strict pull-ups going albeit supinated. I can hold a handstand against the wall. I can do double unders, these use to frustrate me so much and one day they just came together. I’m running and swimming faster than I did in my twenties.

If you are on the fence about joining I would say do it for your health to help you stay strong and independent into older age. Everything is scalable to your abilities. Just take a leap of faith. Joining CrossFit is one of my better decisions in life and it has become a big part of my life. I love the challenge and bettering myself and doing things I never thought I could do like climbing a rope in my forties. You are never too old.
